Besan (Gram Flour) is generally made from the Chickpeas/Channa which is dried and then powdered into Besan. Since Chana Dal is split form of de-skinned Chickpeas. It can also be powdered and used as Besan.
Gram Flour contains an Excellent nutritional value. it is used as a binding agent for Koftas (vegetable balls), batter for fritters, savory snacks, vegetarian pancakes and sweet dishes.
