Poha is a wholesome meal. It is a good source of carbohydrates, packed with iron, rich in fiber, a good source of antioxidants and essential vitamins and is gluten free. It is known to be good for those who have diabetes, skin and heart problems. The word “poha” refers to the beaten thick rice itself and as well the dish made with it. These flattened rice flakes are also known as parched rice or beaten rice. Controls Blood Sugar Levels and is hence considered a good meal for diabetics.
